Listen Up! Magneto - Vuela Vuela

Since we are traveling another year into the future I thought I would take it way back for a second with this:

Things I will do in 2011

1. Donate 150.00 to the local homeless shelter so that one homeless man can finally get a decent pair of Nike Airs
2. Get over my fear of becoming a quadriplegic and learn to ride horse at full gallop (this one is true)
3. Take Arthur Fonzarellis advice and "sit on it"
4. Be some kids "Big Sister" and inspire them to get a head start in being the best cynical, sarcastic, a------ they could possibly be
5. Chemically engineer a substance that will kill all the roaches in the world who's names are NOT "Phil"
6. Find Carrot Top, roofie his drink, steal his kidney and leave him in a tub of burning hot coal
7. Ride Carrot Tops bloody kidney down a mountain of snow like a snow board
8. Find out where EXACTLY in the world this "Carmen Sandiego" person is
9. Surf a tsunami.......naked
and finally....
10. Learn to dance ballet, have a lesbian experience and end it all with a schizophrenic breakdown BEFORE the end of May (for those of you who dont know.....that is a Black Swan reference please go watch it, thaaaanks)

Fuck You, 2010

You know folks....I grew up with a hyper superstitious mother. She once told me:
"If you own ANYTHING depicting the Mona Lisa, you will never get married. A single woman should not own anything with the Mona Lisa on it!".
Because of this woman's obvious influence in my life, I immediately trashed my super awesome Mona Lisa beaded curtain. I have no clue where she got her superstitions from.... It's almost as if she picked things at random. Maybe she just did it to amuse herself, or perhaps as part of some elaborate psychological mind game and I was her very own test subject. Maybe while I slept she secretly put me in a MRI and studied how telling me such thing affected my Amygdala. Maybe my mother was a genius!? Maybe the fear of incidentally coming to own something with Mona Lisa on it has altered the way I process things!? Maybe Santa really isn't constantly monitoring me from the AC vents!?!..... I HATE YOU MOTHER!

Anyway, another thing this woman (bag of crazy) instilled in me is the belief that however you choose to spend your New Years Eve is how you will spend the rest of the following year. Last year .....eeeesh lets not go there. Anyway, make sure you spend your NYE somewhere safe and surrounded by awesome people that make you feel loved. To: Tanya, Patty, GC, Ronald, Justin, Esteban, Ava, Ana, Bryan, Mario, Henry, and Laurie :
I love you guys, cheers to 2011!

To everyone else, be safe, have a prosperous New Year and make sure to stop if you hit someone while driving. Fleeing the scene seems to be growing in popularity in Miami and that's just sad. Yea...leave it to me to end on a downer like that.

there, that's better...

The night Ingrid stole Santa

The night Ingrid stole Santa will go down in history. Sadly... Bryan was the only one there to witness it first hand. So, whatever you hear about that night is just hearsay, you hear me!?

Why did I do such a ridiculously immature thing like THAT!? Well, I've had an insatiable desire for excitement lately. I acted out on that and did what any bored girl would do...gambled my money, drank a bit, danced wildly, and stole Santa! All on a Sunday night!

I woke up this morning bright and early for work only to find that Santa had been taken hostage and now resides in my living room.

He's cute.

Terrible News....

Dear Dead Kennedys,

Who THE Fuck do you think you ARE!? $53.00 to go watch you old dip shits PLAY!? You have some f-ing nerve!!! Who do you guys thing you are, U2?! Jello Biafra isn't even in the band anymore and we all know he was the brains behind the entire thing! You guys wouldn't be SHIT had it not been for him! I am utterly ashamed of what you have become. I hope no one shows up to that show.

Fuck you ,
Ingrid C.

Xmas tree!

Slightly disappointing evening turned out to be a pretty fun night :) Went to buy my Xmas tree with Mario, then we came home and drank Rum n Coke as we decorated it. A few weeks ago the Panda came over and we made ornaments together, he made these clever ornaments that said "OMG" and "LOL" he said it was suppose to be make a statement about...ah I forgot what the statement was... BUT I totally copied his idea and made some of my own BUT BETTER! (yes, better)

Eventually Henry Ana and Bryan joined us and we all sat and made ornaments around the Xmas tree. It was really adorable watching my friends with the Elmer's glue and scissors getting down with their crafty selves! Look how cute they are...

The Happy Face Spider Says:

Cute, aye?? And no, its not photoshopped.
This spider goes by the name Happy Face Spider
but its textbook name is actually Theridion Grallator.
From what I read it's only 5 millimeters long and lives in Hawaii.

Makes Sense

My mother just told me that when I believed in Santa they use to tell me he was constantly watching me from the AC vent on the cieling to make sure I was being a good kid. There you have it, folks! My irrational fear of AC vents explained!

Thanks mummy!

Theo Jansen

Imagine walking down the beach and running into a large sculpture that can walk around and knows when it gets too close to the water! Theo Jansen is a kinetic sculptor who has created these "animals" (as he calls them) from mere tubes and bottles. Animals that are practically able to survive on their own. His ultimate goal is to have them live on the beaches in herds, and with a little more evolution he is sure to get his wish. Check out his talk at the Ted Conference

Toot Toot ! Flower Shop Looks Dope!

For those of you who don't know me that well.... Here's a little fact about Ing.....I hate to toot my own horn. You see, I have a really bad habit of being down on myself and belittling everything I make or do. It's quite crippling at times because it doesn't allow me to work to my full potential. Thankfully I have a group of friends who are constantly there to encourage me and support me in anything I want to do. Sooooooo this one is for you all!!!

I made this one :)
The Flower shop is finished and opening right now as I type this! Everyone INCLUDING MYSELF are all very impressed with how it looks! This time I have little complaints about the final product. I decorated the entire store with that "shabby chic" look in mind, helped merchandise it, and created the marketing materials including the logo. This was all put together in very little time with a small budget so I'm thrilled with how it looks! I wish much success to the shop and I feel excited and confident in myself and my skills which is most important!

Catching Up With Ing

Hi Everyone!

It's been a while since I wrote in this bitch! We have a lot of catching up to do! I have been a busy bee here at work since I got back from vacation so I'm writing this in a bit of a hurry. * I got the chance to see Sputnik during my week off , I missed that little pussy so much <3 He's really the most beautiful kitty in the world, hes charming as hell. I love my cat. He's also really happy running around outside in the wilderness. * The flower shop is almost open, people love the decor, I'm hoping it's a success! Will post pics soon! * Halloween was nice, I didnt dress up but I did get to hang out with some really funny and amusing people. * Tanya left me alone too long (she went to NY) and I got bored and started to Tweeter, it's pretty cool.....follow me! ( love4ing ). * I got some cool stuff while in Fort Myers, which included a vintage style record player (which goes great with the decor in my apartment) , some vintage Xmas tree ornaments, and a deconstructed TV that Justin made. (See below) * Later today I will be blogging about HevyJ who is growing out his moustache for charity :) He's fluffy. More Later! Ta-ta!

Haters: Think Before You Speak

Frankly my dear, I don't give a damn.

I saw this commercial last night.....

and I got a little upset, because I hate people telling me what to do, how to talk, how to walk and how to think. What the fuck is up with these fucking self righteous left wing cunts trying to tell me how to talk! No ma'am Hillary Duff and Wanda Sykes, no ma'am! I bet they would love to outlaw the word CUNT as well. Why don't we just set fire to the Bill of Rights, fuckit right? It's not the fact that I LOVE saying the word "Ghey" so much that I want to stand up for the ability to say's the hyper sensitivity of todays people. Everything is cause for alarm....fuck you people! Lighten the fuck up!
I just did a survey of the gays and 1 out of 3 gays admit they dont like it....
and frankly my dear.....

Ukraine to Poland to Miami

Yes, this beautiful china cabinet has done more traveling than I have. My little corner has gone through various changes since I moved in. I had been looking for a very specific book shelf with glass doors... I hadnt been able to find the perfect piece, SO IT FOUND ME! Yes ladies and gentlmen, check out my new china cabinet, curio, armoire, shelf thingie, whatever you want to call it. I like to call it "Carl The Traveling Curio"....thats not true I dont call it that at all....

I have been asked to do the interiors of a flowershop. So I have been perusing Craigslist and all the second hand stores from Palmetto Bay to Hallandale to find the perfect items for the "Shabby Chic" decor. I came across this big guy from Craigslist, but when I saw him in person I realized that it would be a crime to paint over his beautiful varnished wood. I instantly fell for the well crafted piece of furniture and decided to buy him for myself and bring him home. "They dont make them like this anymore" said the previous owner, and he is right.

As seen on the Outsapop blog, I decided to make the left shelves a display for all my accessories. I layed out all my stuff, boutique style, inside the case. I see myself growing sick of it within the next month, but for now it works, and its better than how they previously were, which was in complete disarray.

Hope you enjoyed this peek into my curio :)

Friends That Inspire DIY

On Monday night, my friend Ana and I were talking about steam punk, and tribal wear. After our lengthy chat, I was inspired to create this DIY leather cuff bracelet as a gift from me to her! Nothing says I love you like a custom handmade accessory.

How I made it....
The cool thing about leather is that you can cut it and it doesn't fray, so you don't have to worry about sewing the edges like you do with Fabric. I'm lazy, so this makes me really happy. I had some scraps of this awesome upholstery leather. I cut the leather into a piece roughly 3.5 in x 5 in, added 6 rivets on each side to create the cool corset closure (say THAT 5 times). I then added the 6 pyramid studs (which was a mission because it was hard to get them through that leather). Finally I added 2 more rivets to hang the chains from and inserted a braided string to complete the project, which only took me about an hour.

I love : Damien Hirst

Maybe I'm not cool enough or something, but this is the first I hear or see of Damien Hirst's work. He's very well known for bedazzling a human skull with diamonds (asking price 100 million) but I have just fallen in love with his taxidermy animals in boxes! Hell yea! (By the way, as of right now, that is what I would like to have done to my skull when I die) They remind me of that scene in The Cell....if you have seen the Cell you know what I'm talking about.....If not....go watch The Cell. The femaldehyde filled boxes are so beautiful and surreal, I would love one in my home if I was filthy rich and had the space.... but in not.... I'll have to settle for jackelopes and bugs for now. My favorite is the one above. Damien, where have you been all my life? I'm your newest fan!

I was walking back from getting my caffeine fix at Passions when I decided to pass by this Indian store that sells fairly inexpensive accessories, sage, minerals and other things. Standing at the checkout counter, I was immediately drawn to this beautiful mineral. I had seen one like it online before but didn't know its name... I remembered it because of its unique colors.

The store is having a 30% off sale so I purchased it on a whim for my soon to be mineral tray. "Mineral tray? Whats that!?" I plan to have a beautiful dish with various minerals of different sizes, shapes and colors which I will place on a console in my home to draw in positive energy.

So I came back to work to look up this minerals name and it just so happens that today, OCTOBER 1st 2010, on the first cool (ish) day of Autumn, I unknowingly purchased Tourmaline which is said to be one of the birthstones for October and Libras. I love Libras <3 My Bunni is a Libra, and so are John and Yaney. Happy Early Birthday to you all!

Other uses for Tourmaline....
"Tourmaline's are said to enhance one's understanding, increase self-confidence and amplify one's psychic energies. They also are said to neutralize negative energies, dispel fear and grief, and to aid in concentration and communication."

Interest-ing, I could use some of all that!
